Designer and Designed – Part 2

IN the previous comment I asked the question – Do you know what God is doing to you; do you know what His primary purpose is regarding you in this and all matters in His dealings with you?  I’m not going to rehearse the previous comments surrounding that question, inviting you to go back and refresh your memory of what was said in rereading them, if necessary.  But again it is my hope that you will pay particular attention to the consideration that is to follow.

IN this part 2 conclusion, looking at the mediation below we need to make note of the last sentence in the last paragraph, which is actually a quote from 1Pet. 5:6, “Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time.”  James 4:10 is similar with, “Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift you up.”  Again, I am reminded as a young Christian being told that there were several key scriptures I should commit to memory as I commenced my Christian walk – M&M verses I now call them, Must Memorize.  Along with previously mentioned (in Part 1) verses like 1Cor. 10:13, and Rom. 8:29 — James 1:2, 1Peter 5:6 are among that important list M&M verses.  Knowing these basic truths, what God is doing to us and the process He is using to get us where He wants us in Christ is very helpful when facing unsettling circumstances and people in life that He uses as tools in His hands to remove those things in our life that do not belong there.

SO with that, here is another musing from Miles Stanford, None But the Hungry Heart.

In the wondrous blessings of Christ,

DESIGNER AND DESIGNED

“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ” (Ephesians 1:3)

Since the sovereign God has every atom in the universe precisely timed and controlled for the carrying out of His perfect will, it should not be difficult for us to understand why He is so meticulous in His development of us as His instruments. “Being predestinated according to the purpose of Him who worketh all things after the counsel of His own will” (Ephesians 1:11).

“You are one of God’s rough diamonds, and He is going to have to cut you so that you may really shine for Him. It takes a diamond to cut a diamond. You are to be ground and cut, and hurt by other diamonds, by other Christians, by spiritual Christians. But the more cutting and the more perfecting, the more you are going to shine for your Lord.” -G.M.

“God in His wisdom has ordained our trials, and it is our folly that causes us not to welcome them. God sends us such trials as are exactly fitted for us. Our Heavenly Father knows what will best serve us. He serves us by trials and by comforts. Let us remember that our trials are few our evil ways are many; our worthiness nothing; our comforts great. When God tries us let us consider how we have been trying Him. By grace we will not murmur, but humble ourselves under His mighty hand, and He will exalt us in due time.”

“Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you” (1 Peter 4:12).
